If you are comparing air conditioning supply and installation prices, the first thing to know is that there is no honest one-size-fits-all figure. A small wall-mounted unit in a home office is a very different job from fitting multiple indoor units across a retail floor, office suite or production area. Supply and installation is the first cost, not the last. Air conditioning systems need preventive maintenance if they are to remain efficient, hygienic and reliable. Filters, coils, drains, controls and refrigerant charge all need attention at the right intervals.

Skipping maintenance can make an apparently low installation cost look far less attractive after the first year or two. Reduced performance, rising energy use and preventable breakdowns all affect value. For a business, that can also mean lost comfort, complaints from staff or customers, and avoidable disruption.
